Political Platform of Oppressed People
Sri Lankan government had invited all Sri Lankans living in UK to come to its high embassy on 4th February to celebrate the so called Independence Day. But we –the oppressed people has nothing to celebrate about this day. We request all Tamils, Sinhala, Muslim and other minorities living in UK to come to high commission on the same day and time to register our opposition
We demand:
* Where are the missing people? We need to know what happened to each and every one of them.
*Release all political prisoners.
*Close down all secret camps and torture prisons.
*Give back all the land occupied by the military and government authorities.
*We demand an independent war crime investigation.
*Persecute the killers and murderers of people -journalist and democratic rights activists. Why are the killers of Lasantha Wikrematunga still at large?
*Withdraw the occupied troops from all Tamil areas.
*Stop the privatisation in Education and health.
*Allow equal pay and permanent status to Telecom workers on Strike
We demand our independence.
Defend the right to self-determination of the Tamil speaking people.
We also stand in Solidarity with Students and young workers in Tamil Nadu Chennai who had organised combative protest and shown what method of struggle can win our rights.
இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்தால் ஐக்கிய ராச்சியத்தில் நடாத்தப்படும் சுதந்திர தின கொண்டாட்டத்திற்கு இங்கு வாழும் இலங்கை மக்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.ஒடுக்கப்படும் மக்களாகிய எங்களுக்கு இந்த நாள் கொண்டாடும் தினமல்ல. இது எமது சுதந்திர தினல்ல. பல்வேறு நாட்டு பிரதிநிகளும், பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களும் கலந்துகொள்ளும் இந் நிகழ்வில் இன, மத வேறுபாடின்றி நமது எதிர்ப்பினைப் பதிவு செய்வதன் மூலம் இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்திற்கும் ,சர்வதேசத்திற்கும் நமது கோரிக்கைகளை ஒன்றிணைந்து முன்வைக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம்.
நமது கோரிக்கைகள்:
* காணாமல் போனோர்கள் எங்கே? அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் என்ன நடந்தது என்பது பற்றிய தகவல்களை வழங்கு.
*அரசியல் கைதிகள் அனைவரும் விடுவிக்கபட வேன்டும்.
*எல்லா இரகசிய சித்திரைவதை தடுப்பு முகாம்களும் மூடப்படல் வேண்டும்.
*தமிழ் பேசும் மக்களின் வாழ்விடங்களில் இருந்து இராணுவம் வெளியேற வேண்டும்.
*சுதந்திரமான வெளிநாட்டு போர்க்குற்ற விசாரணை நடத்த படவேண்டும்.
*அரசியல் தலைவர்கள், ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் , மாணவர்கள் , மக்கள் மீதான கொலைச் சம்பவங்களில்
தொடர்புடையவர்களும், கொலையாளிகளும் தண்டிக்கப்படவேண்டும்.
*அரசாங்கமும், இராணுவமும் கைப்பற்றிய மக்களின் நிலங்களில் இருந்து வெளியேற வேண்டும்.
*கல்வி மற்றும் சுகாதாரம் தனியார் மயப்படுதலை நிறுத்து.
*மலையக மக்களின் அடிப்படை தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்.
*மலையக மக்களின் ஊதிய கோரிக்கைகளை நிவர்த்தி செய்.
* மத தலங்கள் மீதான தாக்குதல்களை நிறுத்து.
* முஸ்லீம் மக்களின் கலாசாரம் மீதான தாக்குதல்களை நிறுத்து.
*தொடரும் டெலிகொம் ஊழியர்களின் போராட்டதின் கோரிக்கைகளை நிறைவேற்று. நிரந்தர நியமனம் ,
சமஅளவு ஊதியம் ஆகியவற்றை வழங்கு.
சுதந்திரம் எமது உரிமை
தமிழ் பேசும் மக்களின் சுய நிர்ணய உரிமையை அங்கீகரி
போராட்டக்கள் மூலமே எமது உரிமைகளை வென்றெடுக்க முடியும் என்று நம் எல்லோருக்கும் மீண்டும் உண்ர்த்திய தமிழ்நாட்டு மாணவர்கள் , இளைஞர்கள் , உழைக்கும் மக்கள் மற்றும் போராட்டத்தில் பங்கெடுத்த அனைவர்க்கும்தோழமையுடன் ஆதரவு தெரிவிக்கின்றோம்.
