Deportation delayed – now keep up the campaign for justice!
Tamil Solidarity wants to thank everyone who registered their protest against the scheduled deportation of Arunthavanathan Mathan.
Given this pressure, the Home Office has now decided to delay the deportation to provide an opportunity for Mathan to submit his new details. This basic right was denied to him in the past but protesting had an effect.
However, we are not satisfied with the decision to delay. Mathan should be released immediately from the detention centre and allowed ample to time and support to make his asylum claim properly.
So we request all those supporting this campaign to keep up the pressure on the Home Office until Mathan is released from detention.
