Tamil Solidarity invites all to take part in our annual event – Solidarity Day: Bringing together oppressed communities, trade unionists and students. It’s an opportunity to bring together struggles and build the fightback against all oppressions.
Tamil solidarity hosts its annual solidarity day every year and this year it will take place on Saturday 29th June.
The first session will be a discussion on the current situation in Sri Lanka, the recent repression of the Sri Lankan government on the Muslim communities. This is an open discussion and we invite people to take part and join in the discussion.
The second session will be a trade union rally: speakers include activists and trade unionists. This session will focus on the rights of the minority and the role of trade unions. Questions such as – what is a trade union? How can they win our rights? Why should we join the trade union? – will be explored in this session.
Entry to this event is free but your generosity will very much be appreciated as this will aid us in continuing our work.
Small snacks will be provided during the break between the sessions.
