Protest – Release Thirumurukan Gandhi – Defend the Right to Protest

Tamil Solidarity organised a protest on the 19th June outside the Indian High Commission to demand the immediate release of activist who have been unjustly held under a Draconian Goonda Law.

The arrest of Thirumurugan Ghandi and others are a direct attack by the state on right to protest. We condemn this and call on all activists, campaigners and human right organisations in India, Sri Lanka and around the world to come forward to oppose the draconian law and the arrests.

The protest linked the struggle across the globe for the Right to Protest.
