On 21st April, around 500 people, mostly Tamils in Malaysia demonstrated for 2 hours at the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur to protest against Indian government’s military assistance to the Sri Lankan army.
The protesters also denounced the devious role of Indian and Tamil Nadu as well as the other imperialist governments in indirectly supporting the slaughter of Tamils in Sri Lanka. Some of them also condemned the hypocrisy of Malaysian government in not stating any protest against the brutal killings of Tamils by Rajapakse regime.
CWI Malaysia distributed around 200 leaflets in Tamil and English to highlight SST campaign demands to end the war and fight for democracy in Sri Lanka.
